Omaha hires first parking manager, unveils future plans

Omaha has hired Ken Smith as the new Parking Manager. According to the City, a recently parking study says that Omaha is currently using over 100-percent of its available parking. Typically a City should have no more than 85-percent of its parking full during the busiest hours. At a press conference city officials unveiled the next steps in helping ease Downtown parking, including potentially lowering rates at the parking garages.
