Omaha Police Department and Mayor Jim Suttle announced that over 100 cameras have been installed in Omaha police cars. These cameras are both front-facing and fear-facing so they’ll be able to record an incident happening in front of the vehicle, as well as record what occurs inside the vehicle or during an inmate transport.
The camera can be manually engaged by a police officer or will automatically begin recording when an officer turns a car’s sirens on.
Take a look at the video to hear how the police force will use these new cameras.
